Love those layers

Pretty Petals DSP is what I used on all these cards.
This Designer Series Paper is beautiful.
It is a 6" x 6" stack and WOW! It's beautiful.
Oh I said that. Ha Ha.
Take a look at the five cards below I created using the DSP.
Four of them are the same design but so different.

This is a long post so get some coffee and Enjoy.
:) No it's not that long...

I also used the new stamp set called "Tin of Cards"
You might over look this set but take a look what I did with the
this set on the label.
LOVE LOVE this set.

Here's the inside

Love the way this pretty Pacific Point one turned out.
The little plus signs are also for the same stamp set.

And anyone that knows me I love Calypso Coral.
This card is for my Mom just because.

You gotta love the new "Envelope Paper"
What you didn't know we had special Envelope paper?
Well we do now and it comes in the 2015-2017 In Colors
AND my personal fav Neutrals.
Whisper White, Very Vanilla, and Kraft.
This envelope below I made from the Mint Macaron paper to match my card.

Inside is special too.
I used the doodle stamp in the "Tin of Cards" set.

Here's a bold color one.

And there are many more beautiful papers in this DSP stack.
What do you think?
Hope you enjoyed my cards.
Below are the items I used.

Flowers for Mom

Mother's Day Flowers for Mom

I chose to purchase silk flowers for my Mother this year.
I think it was the best choice because she wouldn't need to remember
to water them and they would always stay pretty.
Our Mother is in an assisted living home for memory loss so I know she
would not remember to water a real plant.
I purchased this silk plant at our local Micheal's Craft store.
But of coarse I had to add some Stampin Up Flair to it.
So I cut some Butterfly Thinlits from Daffodil Delight and Pretty in Pink (R)
card stock and the largest butterfly from Dazzling Diamonds card stock.
Hot glued two matching butterfly's together with a bamboo skewer between.
And stuck the pointed end in the foam in the pot.
That is just what her plant needed

Have a wonderful Mother's Day!

Painted Petals

Hi There!

Here is a card I made using the Painted Petals Stamp Set
and the Butterfly thinlits.
Lovely card yes,  I love it.
But as you saw in my previous post I like to doodle.
Well I thought what if I doodled over the Painted Petals
using the  Project life Journal Pen

 Here is the inside.
Keep scrolling

Check this out!
Doesn't the doodling make the flowers just pop?

Mellon Mambo

Just a quick tip:  I just drew in the butterfly antenna
with the Project life Journal Pen

Here is my Mother's card for Mothers Day.

I didn't doodle on the Elegant Eggplant because I didn't think
the black ink would show up enough.

The Butterfly Thinlet was run through the big shot half way on each
side of the body of the butterfly.
You can see how to do this on Cindee's website HERE

Here is another card just stamping the Painted Peddles
and doodling on them again.

The supplies I used are here below.

Hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day!

Balloon Bash

Stamping meets Doodling

I was fooling around one day water coloring and doodling.
And after I was done water coloring a small card size
piece if water color paper and then when it was dry
I doodled around the edges of where the water color stopped.
Then it came to me I could stamp an image on my paper
and heat emboss with Black embossing powder.

Here are first 3 of many I have made.

Well it wasn't hard to decide which stamps to use.
The Balloon Bash set is perfect for this technique.
The water coloring is called Wet on Wet.
But what I discovered what is best to do first is to heat
emboss your image first. Then water color.
This way you don't have to wait till your paper is dry to emboss.

Here is one card after I heat emboss and water colored.

Here is a card up close after I doodled the lines around the
water color two times. Then I added little tiny dots.
You can see in the next picture.
Stampin Up! Project Life Journal Pens are
great for doodling,
They flow real nice.

Then the corners needed a little somethin somethin.
So that where I added the images from the
Perpetual Birthday Calendar set..
I love this set, its a keeper that's for sure

Hope you try doodling on your cards its fun.
And different.

Butterfly Thinlits and Painted Petals

Painted Petals and Butterfly Thinlits are a perfect match.
I made this simple but pretty card.
The first card is done with Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie ink
for the butterfly.

The second card I used Pacific Point Ink and Pear Pizzaz ink.

This card is so easy to make.
Let me show you
I cut a piece of 4 " x 4" Basic Black cs.
Using the Medium size butterfly from the thinlits set
I ran it through the Big Shot.
I then had the butterfly image and the outline of it.
I used my sponge daubers to sponge the color on using the
black card stock as my stencil. As you can see below.

When you are done sponging you end up with this below.

I used the 2-way glue pen (which is marvelous)
to cover the back completely with the glue.

Then just stick it down.

For the flowers I used the new stamp set
Painted Petals which I think look so pretty together.

Here are both of the cards.
